Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard Duel To End Third Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard went one-on-one during the later minutes of the third quarter.
Mitchell and the Jazz hosted the Portland Trail Blazers at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Thursday, December 26.
The Jazz star scored Utah’s last 10 points of the quarter after Lillard went on an 8-0 run by himself.

After a quick 8-0 run from the Weber State product, Donovan Mitchell finished the quarter scoring the last 10 points for the @UtahJazz.

Mitchell’s personal 10-0 run was part of his 16 points in the first 12 minutes after halftime.
Up to the point in the game, Mitchell had scored 23 points on 8-13 shooting and 2-3 from behind the arc.

He added 2 rebounds and 5 assists in his first 28 minutes of play.

The former Weber State guard, Lillard, recorded 27 points on 8-18 shooting including 5-11 from downtown through the end of the third quarter.

Lillard also posted 3 rebounds and 7 assists in 30 minutes on the court.

Utah went to the final quarter of the game with a 96-76 lead.
