Shaq Impersonates Joe Ingles After Huge First Half

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Joe Ingles hot-shooting first half against the Portland Trailblazers drew the attention of TNT’s Inside the NBA crew at halftime. Ingles opened the game with 17 points on 6-6 shooting, including 505 from the three-point line before missing his final two attempts of the second quarter.
Ingles performance was so strong he inspired studio host and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to impersonate his Australian accent during the break.
“Joe, hello mate this is Shaq, down under,” O’Neal said in an Australian accent.
Ingles, in classic deadpan fashion wasn’t impressed with the delivery.
“That was terrible,” Ingles said “I hear it all day in the locker room, and that was one of the worst.”

Offended by Ingles critique, O’Neal indicated he’d be doing the rest of the half-time report in Ingles native tongue, followed by “Put a shrimp on the barbie, mate.”
Ingles tied his career-high scoring total with 27 points in Miami Monday night, and by the midway point of the third quarter against Portland, he’d had built his scoring total to 22 points.
Since being reinserted into the starting lineup, Ingles has averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 52 percent shooting from the floor and the three-point line.
