Harding’s Big Game Not Enough In Weber State’s Loss At BYU

PROVO, Utah – Weber State guard Jerrick Harding’s big night scoring the basketball wasn’t enough as the Wildcats fell by 30 points to the BYU Cougars.
Harding and the Wildcats fell 91-61 at the Marriott Center on Saturday, December 21.
The Weber State guard went off for 27 points against the Cougars. He was 10-16 on field goals including 4-7 from three-point range.

Harding was the only Wildcat player to scoring in double figures.
The Wildcats fell into a 51-24 hole at halftime and were unable to climb back out despite better production in the second half. Weber State scored 37 points after the break but allowed 40 more by the Cougars.
Weber State starters Kham Davis, KJ Cunningham, and Michal Kozak combined for 23 points in the loss. Their bench was limited to only 6 points.
The Wildcats were outshot 62.5-42.9 percent on field goals and 47.4-27.3 percent on shots from behind the arc.

Weber State turned the ball over 13 times throughout the game.
The Cougars outrebounded the Wildcats on the glass 36-26.
BYU forward Yoeli Childs had a stellar game scoring 28 points.

Weber State fell to 4-7 on the season and 1-2 on the road with the loss. BYU improved to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in Provo.
The Wildcats’ next game is on December 28 when they host Eastern Washington at 2 p.m. (MDT).
