Gobert Dominates Hornets In First Quarter, Posts Double-Double

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert dominated the Charlotte Hornets to start the game and posted a double-double during the opening quarter of play.
The center led Utah with a double-double during the first quarter of the game between the Jazz and Hornets on Saturday, December 21.
Gobert recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds during his first nine minutes on the court.

Gobert posted 4 offensive rebounds and a block in the first nine minutes of play.
He was 5-6 on field goals.

Last season, Gobert posted 18 points and 18 rebounds against the Hornets on April 1, 2019. In the first meeting of the 2018-19 season, Gobert had 20 points and 17 boards in a win over Charlotte.
On Saturday, the Jazz trailed the Hornets 33-31 after the first 12 minutes of the game.
