Utah Defeats Weber State For Roberts’ 300th Career Victory

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah women’s basketball coach Lynne Roberts coached the Utes to a win over the Weber State Wildcats. The in-state victory was Roberts’ 300th career win.
The Utes defeated the Wildcats 75-46 on Friday, December 20 at the Jon. M Hunstman Center in Salt Lake City.
Coach Roberts improved to 300-233 overall as a head coach and 79-58 leading the Utes.

“It is a great honor and it is humbling,” said Roberts after the win. “I have been so blessed to be given opportunities as a head coach. Everywhere that I have been, I have been blessed to be given the opportunity. I have coached and coached with some awesome people. I am proud of the teams that I have coached and the people I have coached with.”

Roberts is in her 18th season as a head coach and her fifth season with Utah. Before taking the Utes’ coaching position, Roberts spent nine seasons at the University of Pacific and four seasons at Chico State.
While at Pacific, Roberts was honored as conference coach of the year twice.
Utah finished the non-conference portion of its schedule 7-4 overall.
