Isaiah White’s Layup Gives UVU Upset Road Win Over Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Isaiah White scored the game-winning layup with seven seconds left to give the Wolverines a 69-67 win over the Wyoming Cowboys.
White led Utah Valley with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 5-10 shooting from the field. The layup came off of a steal by Jamison Overton.

Brandon Averette added 18 points and 3 rebounds, while shooting 7-14 from the field and 2-5 from downtown. T.J. Washington chipped in 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. The trio were the only Wolverines to reach double figures in scoring.
Utah Valley shot 46 percent from the field, 40 percent from downtown and 17-18 from the free throw line.
For Wyoming, Hunter Maldonado led all scorers with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Hunter Thompson added 17 points and 7 rebounds. The Cowboys shot 48 percent from the field, 38 percent from beyond the arc and went 9-13 from the free throw line.
Utah Valley improved their record to 5-8 on the season. They will finish a two-game road trip on Saturday when they face Long Beach State. Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
