Bean’s Putback Lifts Aggies Over South Florida In Houston
HOUSTON, Texas – Utah State forward Justin Bean connected on a putback attempt with 0.2 seconds left to play to give the Aggies a win over the South Florida Bulls at the Toyota Center.
Bean’s bucket initially came at the buzzer in overtime before the officials gave the Bulls 0.2 seconds left for a hail mary pass downcourt that failed to end the game on Wednesday, December 18.
The USU forward grabbed his ninth rebound of the game on a missed three-pointer by Abel Porter and went back up with the ball to make the game-winning field goal.

Bean finished the game with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal.
Utah State closed the game-winning the overtime period 10-8 after the two teams ended regulation tied up at 66 apiece.
The Aggies held on for the win after leading scorer Sam Merrill fouled out with 3:11 left in overtime when USU had a one point edge.

Bean’s bucket proved to be the difference as the Aggies squeaked past the Bulls for the win at the home of the NBA’s Houston Rockets. It was USU’s second consecutive game played in an NBA arena.
Aggie center Neemias Queta made his first start of the season and posted 18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.
Utah State improved to 11-2 on the season with the win.
