Dual-sport standout in the state of Arizona, Jones excelled on the gridiron and in track & field. Jones’ track & field background is what caught the attention of BYU coaches along with his hard-hitting ability at safety on the football field.
Jones ran 11.1 100 meters in high school. Attended local-based Level Up Elites Camps in the Arizona area and showed well in those camps against Division 1 competition.
