SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and his Rudy’s Kids Foundation hosted a holiday party for youth in need.
Gobert and his foundation held the party at the Zions Bank Basketball Campus where the Jazz’s practice facility is located on Thursday, December 12.
The Jazzman hosted 25 youth and their families at the event. The festivities consisted of food, music, winter clothes for those in need, pictures with Jazz center, and Santa Gobert handing out presents based on wish lists from the youth.
Best part of this event is seeing @rudygobert27’s smile as he hands out gifts and seeing the smiles and emotion of these kids and their families. #TakeNote @kslsports #TisTheSeason pic.twitter.com/p74Qrqwv0g

“Basketball is my life but you know being able to have such a huge impact on other people’s lives is to me what’s the most important thing,” said Gobert.
Gobert and his foundation collaborated on the event with the organization “Family Promise”. Family Promise helps families experiencing homelessness find independence and security.
The center has led Utah to 14-11 record through the first 25 games of the 2019-20 season. He’s averaged 14.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game thus far. His averages currently rank third in the NBA for rebounds per game and 10th for blocks.
