Utah Moves Ahead Of USC In 2020 Recruiting Rankings After Latest Commitment
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah received its latest high profile 2020 football recruit following a Pac-12 regular-season that put the University back into the spotlight.
Alex Harrison, a three-star offensive tackle out of Viewmont High School who stands at 6’4 and 310 lbs. committed today.
Harrisons’ offer list is extensive, with programs such as Nebraska, USC, Oregon, Arizona State, Tennessee, BYU and Washington State all after his services.
He was the eleventh high school prospect to commit to the University of Utah ahead of the early signing day scheduled to take place from December 18-20, 2019.
With Harrisons’ commitment, the University of Utah jumped the USC Trojans in the national rankings. The Trojans currently sit 80th in the country with the Utes just one spot above them at 79.
Utah still has work to do before feeling satisfied with their recruiting class.
The second highest-rated athlete in the state of Utah, Van Fillinger, is also expected to commit to the Utes after recently de-committing from the Texas Longhorns. The 6’4 250-pound defensive end ranks as the 246th best prospect in the nation.
Fillinger played his high school football at Corner Canyon, who enjoyed yet another undefeated season.
