Utes One Spot Out Of College Football Playoff In Latest Rankings

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Utes moved up one spot to No. 5 in the country by the committee in the fifth College Football Playoff rankings of the 2019 season.
It’s the 29th week that they have appeared in the CFP rankings since the Playoff began in 2014. That is the sixth most in the country behind Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and LSU.
The Utes are coming off of a 45-15 win over Colorado on Saturday, their eighth straight victory. They are the highest ranked team in the Pac-12, it’s also the highest ranking that Utah has ever received in the Playoff rankings.
It’s the highest playoff ranking for a Pac-12 team since Washington in 2016.

Utah’s next opponent, the Oregon Ducks moved up one spot to No. 13.

Utah will face No. 13 Oregon on Friday in the Pac-12 Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game will kickoff at 6 p.m. and will be televised on ABC.
