SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The BYU Cougars’ offensive was responsible for over 200 yards passing against the San Diego State Aztecs’ defense. It was the 14th straight game that BYU has surpassed 200 yards through the air.
The passing attack extended the Cougars streak from last season all the way through the entire regular season.
It’s the longest streak of over 200 yards passing for BYU since they threw for 200+ in 19 consecutive games from 2007-2008 under quarterback Max Hall.

Unfortunately for BYU, the yardage only availed three points on the scoreboard in a 13-3 defeat to the Aztecs on Saturday, November 30.
BYU QB Zach Wilson was 31/53 for 316 yards and 2 interceptions. Wilson was also the Cougs leading rusher with 8 carries for 29 yards.
Individually, the sophomore QB has thrown for over 200 yards in seven of the eight games he’s played in this season. Wilson threw for 187 yards against Idaho State before backup Joe Critchlow entered the game and added 58 yards passing to the team’s total.
Wilson has thrown for over 300 yards twice this season (Toledo and SDSU). He threw for more 300 yards once and over 200 yards four times during his freshman season.
The Cougars finished the regular season 7-5 and 3-3 on the road with the loss.
