UVU G TJ Washington Named WAC Player Of The Week

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University guard T.J. Washington has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
It’s his first ever WAC Player of the Week honor.
Last week, Washington averaged 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He scored a then career-high 22 points in UVU’s loss to Kentucky. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native dropped 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in their loss to Lamar last Thursday.
In the Wolverines’ win over North Dakota State on Saturday, Washington scored a new career-high 26 points along with a personal high 9 rebounds.

This season, he is averaging a team-high 17 points per game, along with 6 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
UVU will be on the road once again this week when they face Mount St. Mary’s on Friday. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on NEC Front Row.
