Weber State Receives No. 3-Seed In FCS Playoffs, Have First Round Bye

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State won their third straight Big Sky Conference title with a win over Idaho State on Saturday and a loss by Montana. The Wildcats found out that they will be the No. 3-seed in the FCS Playoffs.
They will have a first round bye and will host the winner of Wofford and Kennesaw State in the second round on Saturday, December 7.
The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 9-3 record and a 7-1 mark in the Big Sky. Their only three losses came against San Diego State and Nevada by 12 combined points along with a defeat at the hands of Montana two weeks ago.

In the 2018 FCS Playoffs, Weber State hosted two playoff matchups as the No. 2-seed, starting with a 48-23 win over No. 20 Southeast Missouri before losing to No. 12 Maine in upset fashion, 23-18 in Ogden.
The No. 1-seed is undefeated North Dakota State, James Madison, who Weber State faced in the semifinals in 2017, is the No. 2-seed and Sacramento State is the fourth seed in the Playoffs.

Wofford finished the season with an 8-3 record and a 7-1 SOCON record, falling to South Carolina State, Samford and Clemson. Kennesaw State ended the regular season with a 10-2 record and a 5-1 mark in the Big South Conference. They lost to Kent State and Monmouth.
The two teams will play this Saturday at 11:30 a.m. MT on ESPN3.
