Boise State Dominates Utah State To Win Mountain Division Title

LOGAN, Utah – The No. 20 Boise State Broncos came to Maverik Stadium and completely dominated the Utah State Aggies to win the Mountain West Conference Mountain Divison title.
The Broncos defeated the Aggies in Logan 56-14 on Saturday, November 23.
Boise State victory moved them to 7-0 in conference play with one game left to play. Utah State suffered its second Mountain West loss of the season and fell to 5-2 in conference play.
Utah State found itself down 21-7 after the first quarter and 42-7 at halftime. The lone bright spot in the first half was a one-handed TD grab by Caleb Repp.

By the time the Aggies got back on the scoreboard in the third quarter, the outcome was already decided.
The Aggies were outgained in total yardage 484-428. Boise State had 27 first downs compared to 20 for Utah State.
Utah State turned the ball over twice in the loss. The Broncos didn’t have any giveaways.
Boise State ran the ball 46 times for 297 yards. Broncos’ running back George Holani carried the ball 16 times for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns.
BSU QB Jaylon Henderson was 16/28 for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.
USU QB Jordan Love was 21/36 for 229 yards, 1 touchdown, and an interception. His backup Henry Colombi came in late in the game and was 6/11 for 78 yards and an interception.
The Aggies’ featured back Gerold Bright ran the ball 10 times for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Boise State moved to 10-1 (7-0 MWC) and reached its four Mountain West Conference title game under head coach Bryan Harsin.
Utah State fell to 6-5 (5-2 MWC) on the season.
