The Utes had the lead for 35:52 of the game and had a 10 point lead at halftime and outscored Ohio 36-32 in the second half. After shooting 5-of-29 from downtown on Thursday, Utah was able to connect from the perimeter, knocking down 7 of their 15 three point attempts.
Another thing that didn’t happen on Thursday that did on Friday was Utah’s ability to capitalize on turnovers. They only scored 11 points off of Coastal Carolina’s turnovers. On Friday, Utah scored 26 points off of Ohio’s 14 turnovers.
The Utes were living at the free throw line and they were nearly perfect, converting 27 of their 28 attempts.
