Falslev, Carlsen Combine For 5 TDs, Lead Sky View To First State Title

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Sky View’s Kason Carlsen and Mason Falslev combined for five touchdowns in the Bobcats win over Park City to earn the school’s first football state championship.
The Bobcats defeated the Miners 35-0 to win the 4A state title at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Friday, November 22.
Carlsen scored three first half touchdowns before Falslev added two more in the second half.

The Bobcats started the game strong with three TDs in first quarter of play.
Carlsen punched in the first Sky View score only a couple of minutes into the game.

He added another TD three minutes later to give the Bobcats a 14-0 advantage.

The Sky View QB took another keeper into the endzone with 4:45 left in the opening quarter to put the Bobcats up 21-0 with 4:45 remaining in the first quarter.

The Miners held the Bobcats out of the endzone in the second quarter to go into halftime down 21-0.
Falslev extended the Sky View lead to 28-0 with 6:24 left in the third quarter on a 4-yard run. He added the final Bobcat touchdown on another 4-yard run with 7:04 left in the game.

Carlsen was 16/23 for 186 yards through the air. He carried the ball 20 times for 111 yards and 3 TDs.
Falslev ran the ball 14 times for 91 yards and 2 TDs. He also posted 5 receptions for 57 yards.
Park City running back Dylan Bauer carried the ball 18 times for 121 yards in the loss.
The 35-0 blowout was the sixth shutout by Sky View this season. The win gave the Bobcats the 4A state title and their first football championship.
Sky View is now 1-1 in state championship games. They previously lost to Mountain Crest in 1987.
Park City fell to 0-7 in football state title games.
