Jazz Hold Wolves Without Made Field Goal For Nearly Half Of 1st Quarter

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Utah Jazz defense was on displaying to open the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, holding the Wolves without a made field goal for nearly half the first quarter.
The Jazz defense went on lockdown midway through the opening quarter of the game between Utah and Minnesota on Wednesday, November 20.
Utah prevented a made field goal by the T-Wolves for 5:46 of play.

After Minnesota forward Robert Covington hit a 25-foot three-point jumper with 7:39 left in the first quarter, the Jazz didn’t allow a made FG until Wolves guard Jarrett Culver drove for a layup with 1:53 left in the quarter.
Jazz center Rudy Gobert anchored the Utah defense including a nice block on a shot by Culver.

Utah outscored Minnesota 26-19 in the opening 12 minutes of the game.
The Jazz are looking to rebound in Minneapolis after losing at home to the Wolves 112-102 on Monday, November 18.
