LOGAN, Utah – Utah State kicker Dominik Eberle broke the individual career record for the most made field goals by a kicker in Mountain West Conference history.
Eberle went 4/5 on his field goal attempts against Wyoming to become the conference record holder on Saturday, November 16.
The senior kicker has booted through 61 made field goals in his college career. The previous Mountain West record was 57 by Louis Sakoda (Utah 2005-08).

Former Utah State kicker Brad Bohn previously held the school record with 60 career makes while the Aggies were a part of the Big West Conference.
“I wasn’t really aware of the Mountain West record until a couple of weeks ago,” said Eberle during the Aggies’ weekly press conference. “I always wanted to break coach Brad Bohn’s record at Utah State. That was the one thing from day one since I started training with him, is he would tell me, ‘You’ve got to break 59,’ and after every game, pretty much, he would text me, ‘You have 54 more’ or ’13 more.’ So, it was pretty meaningful to do that.”

Even though Bohn held the school record for nearly twenty years he was happy to see Eberle break the record.
“They say records are meant to be broken,” Bohn told Utah State Athletics. “Watching Dom reach his potential in an Aggie uniform has been tremendous to see. He really deserves all the accolades he receives. He has broken just about every record that I had the good fortune to set almost 20 years ago.”
Eberle and the Aggies have a tough test ahead of them as they chase a Mountain West championship. Utah State hosts No. 19 Boise State on Saturday, November 23 at 8:30 p.m. (MDT). The game is televised on CBS Sports Network. It is also broadcast on 1280 AM (Salt Lake City) and 92.3 FM (Logan).
