Duckett Carries Southern Utah To Grand Canyon Rivalry Trophy

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Southern Utah running back Thomas Duckett carried the Thunderbirds to the Grand Canyon Rivalry Trophy in their win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
Duckett led the T-Birds to their third win of the season on Saturday, November 16.
The SUU running back carried the ball 21 times for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

The Thunderbirds were down 27-24 late in the third quarter when Duckett busted open a 54-yard run for a score to put Southern Utah on top.

The T-Birds held the Lumberjacks to only a field goal in the fourth quarter and held on for a one-point win.
Duckett added 5 catches for 81 yards and another TD.
Southern Utah moved to 3-8 (2-5 Big Sky). The victory secured the T-Birds a winning-record of 3-2 at home this season.

The Thunderbirds close out the regular season at North Dakota on November 23 at 12 p.m. (MDT).
