Williams and the Packers are in their bye week this weekend. BYU’s all-time leading rusher carried out the Cougars alumni flag in the pregame before BYU’s game against Idaho State. Williams also walked out onto the field with BYU graduate senior Ty’Son Williams. Williams, who is applying for a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA to return next season, received a senior blanket just in case he isn’t granted a waiver from the NCAA.
In four seasons at BYU from 2012-2014, 2016, Williams rushed for 3,901 yards and had 567 yards receiving. Williams found the endzone 60 times in his illustrious BYU career.

Prior to the game against Idaho State, Williams was interacting and posing for photos with BYU fans on “Cougar Canyon,” the new pregame event on the west side of LaVell Edwards Stadium that has become a huge hit for Cougar faithful. Williams spent an hour with the fans.
Williams, who’s in his third season with the Packers, is having his best season to date in his NFL career. Through nine games played this season, Williams has found the endzone six times with five of those coming in the receiving game from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are currently 8-2 and lead the Minnesota Vikings by one game in the NFC North.

Last night, Williams arrived back on the Provo campus and attended the Cougar soccer team’s first-round NCAA Tournament victory against Boise State.
Spongebob, Frozen and blunt honesty. Jamaal Williams' interviews are gold 😆

When Williams was at BYU he was a quote machine and always a fun interview for members of the media. That hasn’t changed for the “Swagdaddy” during his pro football career. The NFL is sometimes known as the “No Fun League” but Williams has shown off his personality with quotes referencing the movie Frozen and the kid’s tv show Spongebob.
