Pope & BYU Basketball Team Go Crazy In Locker Room After Houston Win

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU basketball pulled off the upset against the Houston Cougars courtesy of a buzzer-beater from senior guard TJ Haws.
The game-winning shot gave BYU a 72-71 victory over Houston and put the Cougars in blue at 3-1 on the young season.
After the big win in Clutch City, head coach Mark Pope and his team celebrated the win in the locker room. Pope brought in a water bucket to the locker room to celebrate.

Notice Dalton Nixon, he was probably the most pumped up of the bunch the moment Pope walks into the locker room, and he gets doused with water. But my guess, he’s not complaining one bit.
After all of the twists and turns, Pope and his program experienced this past off-season, Friday night was the breakthrough that BYU basketball was looking for as they put everything in the past behind them.
Cougar players and coaches celebrated with BYU fans who were in attendance to witness only the second loss in the history of the Fertitta Center for Houston.
