Mitchell Exchanges Jersey With Childhood Friend After Win Over GSW
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After the Jazz beat the Golden State Warriors Donovan Mitchell exchanged jerseys with his childhood friend and Golden State forward Eric Paschall.
The Jazz beat the Warriors 122-108 in Oakland, but it was all smiles from Paschall after the game.
Both from New York, the two became friends playing amateur basketball before Mitchell went to Louisville for college basketball and Paschall went to Villanova.
“Can’t even count how many people doubted us and didn’t think we could be here, but here we are!” Mitchell said in a retweet of the video.
In last night’s game, Mitchell put up 23 points and six assists.
The difference in the game was in the second quarter when the Jazz outscored the Warriors 35-24. Mitchell scored 14 of his 23 points in the second period.
For the Warriors, Paschall put up 8 points and 6 rebounds.
He was selected in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft and made his debut with the Warriors on October 24 against the Clippers.
Mitchell and the Jazz are back in action Tuesday night at home against the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
