Donovan Mitchell Sparks Jazz With Big Second Quarter

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Utah Jazz received a big spark from their star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell with 14 points in the second quarter.
It’s the first time that the Jazz are playing in the new Chase Center that was opened this season as the new home of the Golden State Warriors.
Mitchell torched the Warriors with 14 points and finished with 19 in the first half, while getting assistance from his backcourt teammate Mike Conley, who had 12 points. Rudy Gobert chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds and the Jazz took a 69-54 lead at halftime, scoring the most points in a half this season.

Mitchell was red-hot from the three-point line, hitting five of his six attempts from beyond the arc. The Jazz outscored the Warriors 35-24.
The Warriors got a big first quarter from D’Angelo Russell, who scored 18 of his 22 first half points in the opening period.
As a team, the Jazz shot 9-of-17 from the three-point line in the first half, and converted 16-of-17 from the free throw line.
