Romney-To-Romney Connection One Of Two 3rd Quarter Scores By Baylor

LOGAN, Utah – BYU quarterback Baylor Romney started the second half in place of Jaren Hall who was injured late in the first half. Romney led the Cougars to touchdowns on each of his first two drives as the signal-caller including one to his younger brother Gunner.
Romney marched the Cougars down the field and found Micah Simon for a touchdown on the opening drive of the second half.
Romney hit Simon for the 11-yard score with 11:47 left in the third quarter of the game on Saturday, November 2.
The Cougars extended the lead to 28-14 with the score.

1st Drive
Romney led a seven-play drive that went 75 yards over 3:13 to start the half.
The Cougar opened the drive on a play where Baylor found his brother Gunner for a 30-yard reception.
The backup QB was 3/3 for 54 yards on the scoring drive. He also carried the ball once for a 10-yard run.
2nd Drive
After forcing the Aggies to punt, the QB hit his brother Gunner for a 1-yard touchdown. It was the first brother-to-brother score in BYU football history.

The second scoring drive by Romney was also seven plays long but resulted in 68 yards over 2:53.
BYU stretched the lead to 35-14 with 7:12 left in the third quarter.
After the drive, Romney’s game totals were 6/7 for 87 yards and 2 TDs.

Romney started BYU’s last game and led the Cougars to a 28-25 win over then No. 14 Boise State.
In the win, Romney was 15/26 for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns.
