Aggies Recover BYU Fumble, March Downfield To Tie Game

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies recovered a BYU fumble in the red zone, marched down the field, and connected on a 26-yard score to tie the game against the Cougars.
BYU running back Emmanuel Esukpa coughed up the ball and USU’s Justus Te’i picked up.
Aggie QB Jordan Love marched the Utah State offense downfield and hit WR Siaosi Mariner with a 26-yard throw for a touchdown.

The score tied the game 7-7 with 18 seconds left in the first quarter. The PAT made by kicker Dominik Eberle made him the Aggies’ all-time leading scorer with 309 points.

Utah State’s TD drive consisted of seven plays for 86 yards over 2:17.
Love was 9/10 on his throws for 120 yards after the score.
Mariner had recorded three catches for 51 yards and the TD.
The Aggies started the game 3-4 on third down conversions. They tallied 149 yards of total offense in the first 15 minutes of play.
