American Fork Scores 66 Points In Win Over Roy

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The American Fork Cavemen put a lot of points on the board as they knocked off Roy, 66-45 in the second round of the high school football playoffs.
Maddux Madsen threw five touchdown passes, two to Devin Downing and one to Parker Jackson, Tanner Holden and Taylor Crump. Jaxson Gregory added three rushing touchdowns.
For Roy, Jaxson Dart had four passing touchdowns, all to different receivers and one rushing score.
American Fork will play #2 Herriman next Friday.
Here are the rest of the results from all of the second round action in the 6A classification in the high school football playoffs:
#17 Westlake 21 at #1 Corner Canyon 53
The Chargers scored five unanswered touchdowns in the first half before Westlake scored. Austin Bell racked up five rushing touchdowns. Cole Hagen had three passing touchdowns to Cody Hagen, Noah Kjar and Talmage Handley.
Corner Canyon will face #8 Syracuse on Friday.

#9 Pleasant Grove 14 at #8 Syracuse 27
Syracuse jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first half. When Pleasant Grove scored in the third quarter, Syracuse scored two more touchdowns. Bridger Hamblin had four passing touchdowns, two to Sam Adams and one to both Ty Burke and Kobe Rusch.
Syracuse will play #1 Corner Canyon on Friday.
#20 Lone Peak 30 at #4 Skyridge 6
Lone Peak scored 23 straight points in the first three quarters. Luke Romney threw one touchdown, while Chase Comer, Nate Ritchie and Zach White each ran in a touchdown.
Lone Peak will face #5 Kearns on Friday.
#12 Hunter 14 at #5 Kearns 31
Hunter had a 14-7 lead before Kearns scored 24 unanswered to get the win. Dakota Lynde had three passing touchdowns, one to Ami Leha, Austin Perry and Jeff Bassa.
Kearns will play #20 Lone Peak on Friday.
#18 Jordan 19 at #2 Herriman 37
The Mustangs jumped out to a 15-0 lead before Jordan scored 13 of their 19 points in the second quarter. Herriman outscored the Beetdiggers 21-6 in the second half. Jaxson James had one passing and one rushing touchdown. Cole Williams Kepu Fifita and Ngana Leakehe each found the end zone on the ground.
Herriman will face #7 American Fork on Friday.
#14 Fremont 14 at #3 Bingham 36
The Miners had 29 straight points before Fremont found the end zone. Troy Mehn threw two touchdown passes, finding Quinlan Maumau twice. Preston Larson chipped in two touchdowns on the ground, while Cael Wightman added a rushing score.
Bingham will face #6 East on Friday.
#22 Layton 10 at #6 East 50
Layton scored all 10 of their points in the first quarter and trailed 15-10. East scored 35 points in the final three quarters. Amini Amone and Sione Angilau had two rushing touchdowns apiece. Luliano Sula, Iversyn Tapusoa and Mapa Vaenuku each found the end zone once.
East will play #3 Bingham on Friday.
