PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s volleyball released their 2020 schedule that will see the Cougars go up against four NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago.

Shawn Olmstead enters his sixth season as the Head Coach of the Men’s Volleyball team. Olmstead’s program is looking to bounce back from an average 13-12 campaign a season ago.

The 2020 season starts in Illinois when BYU takes on Loyola-Chicago on January 3rd. After that, BYU will face National Semifinalist Lewis in Romeoville, Illinois on January 4th.

BYU’s home schedule at historic Smith Fieldhouse will begin against the Penn State Nittany Lions for a two-game series on January 10th and 11th. The Nittany Lions Lions have played in the NCAA Tournament a total of 31 times dating back to 1981.

BYU begins MPSF (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) play on February 6th when they host UCLA at the Smith Fieldhouse.

In the month of March, BYU takes a break from the MPSF schedule to take on last year’s National Runner-Up the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a two-match series on March 5th and 6th.

The Cougars last home game of the season is on April 2nd against MPSF foe Grand Canyon and then the regular season finale is on April 11th at the Wooden Center against UCLA in Westwood.
