PHOENIX, Ariz. – With 7.2 seconds left and the game tied at 95, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell knocked down a free throw to give the Jazz a 96-95 win over the Phoenix Suns.

The Jazz rebounded the ball on a missed three-point attempt by Kelly Oubre and called a timeout with the game tied.

Mitchell received the ball in the backcourt and when one-on-one with Jevon Carter when he drove to the basket and was fouled on the arm by Phoenix star Devin Booker, sending Mitchell to the foul line with 0.4 seconds left on the clock.

The Jazz star made his first attempt at the free throw line and missed the second to end the game.

The Jazz trailed 90-86 with 3:24 left in the game when they went on a run to tie the game. Late in the fourth, they had a three point lead when Carter nailed a three-pointer to tie the game with 47 seconds left.

Utah turned the ball over when they had a chance to score on the next possession. When the Suns had the ball back, Oubre was wide open in the corner for a three-pointer that would have given them the lead with less than 10 seconds left, but missed the shot.

Bojan Bodanovic led the Jazz with 29 points, while Mitchell finished with 25. Rudy Gobert added 15 points and 18 rebounds. They were the only three Jazz players to reach double figures in scoring.

The Jazz improve to 3-1 and will return home on Wednesday to face the Los Angeles Clippers at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
