SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Pac-12 Conference has named Utah Utes’ Leki Fotu the Defensive Lineman of the Week after his performance against the California Golden Bears on Saturday.
It is the first career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for Fotu and joins six Pac-12 Player of the Week selections this season for the Utes. They have had three defensive player, two defensive line and one offensive player.
The three defensive player awards went to Francis Bernard twice and once to Bradlee Anae. Anae was also named defensive lineman of the week the same week that he was named defensive player. Quarterback Tyler Huntley won the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season.

Fotu recorded three tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in Utah’s 35-0 win over Cal on Saturday. Utah’s defense held Cal to 43 total plays on offense and limited them to just 83 yards of total offense.
Cal’s 83 yards on offense ranks fifth in Utah football history for fewest yards by an opponent.
Utes running back Zack Moss was nominated for Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, while safety Terrell Burgess was nominated as Defensive Player of the Week.
Utah will play the Washington Huskies this Saturday on the road. The game will kickoff at 2 p.m. and will be televised on FOX.
