NEW ORLEANS, La. – New Orleans quarterback Taysom Hill caught a touchdown pass from Drew Brees against the Arizona Cardinals. The catch tied the most scoring receptions by an NFL quarterback since 1996.

Hill’s touchdown catch was his third of the season. The former BYU quarterback’s receptions were the most from a signal-caller since Kordell Stewart, 23 years ago.

Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees found Hill for a five-yard touchdown pass with 12:48 left in the game between New Orleans and the Cardinals on Sunday, October 27.

New Orleans led Arizona 24-9 after the connection between Brees and Hill.

It was the former Cougar quarterback’s second reception of the game.

Quarterback to Wide Receiver

Earlier in the game Hill had a 22-yard reception from Brees.

Two drives after Hill’s touchdown reception, he caught a 36-yard pass from Brees that set up another New Orleans touchdown on the following play.

It was Brees’ first game back from injury after missing the Saints’ previous five games.

New Orleans has a 6-1 record despite the injury to Brenes and are leading the NFC South Division.
