Joe Ingles Agrees To One-Year Contract Extension With Utah Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz and forward Joe Ingles has agreed to a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the Jazz through the 2021-22 season.
The terms of the contract was not released by the Jazz but according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Ingles agreed to a one-year extension worth $14 million.

“As one of our longest tenured players, Joe’s shooting acumen, playmaking ability and unselfishness have been integral to our team’s identity,” said Jazz General Manager Justin Zanik. “We are excited to keep a player like Joe, as his character and leadership are critical for the foundation of our team.”
Ingles is entering his sixth NBA season, all with the Jazz. He has averaged 8 points, 3.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1 steal per game through his career, while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from downtown.

The Australian has played in 304 straight games, dating back to the 2015-16 season, which is currently the longest streak in the NBA. He ranks third all-time in Jazz three-point field goals with 668, setting a franchise single-season record in 2017-18 with 204 triples.
The extension comes before the NBA deadline for players that are eligible for extensions can sign until Monday evening, the day before the 2019-20 season starts. Utah will open the 2019-20 season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on AT&T SportsNet.
