Trailblazers Begin Receiving Votes In Coaches Poll After 5-1 Start

ST. GEORGE, Utah – Dixie State football received votes in the latest AFCA Coaches poll. The Trailblazers are on a five-game winning streak.
Paul Peterson’s squad received nine votes in the most recent Division II poll. It’s the fifth most votes for a team outside of the top 25.
The Trailblazers have a 5-1 record. They’ve won their last five games following a loss in the first game of the season.

Dixie State fell 36-7 on September 7 to then ninth-ranked Colorado State-Pueblo but haven’t experienced defeat since.
The Trailblazers have scored over 50 points in three of their last four games.
Dixie State’s first three wins all came on the road including a 55-0 win against New Mexico Highlands.
Their next game is on Saturday, October 19 at 1 p.m. at Western Colorado. The game will be played at the Mountaineer Bowl in Gunnison, CO.
