Hall, who is starting for the first time in his career as the Cougars QB, led the offense to only 41 yards in the first quarter. But in the second quarter, BYU opened up strong. On the second play of the quarter, Hall found sophomore wide receiver Dax Milne for a 35-yard touchdown pass to put BYU in front of the South Florida Bulls 10-0.

The touchdown pass was Hall’s first in his BYU career. It’s also the first touchdown pass from a black american quarterback in BYU’s 97-year history. Hall’s start on Saturday is the first time a black quarterback has started for the Cougars.
For Milne, it’s his second touchdown reception of the season and third of his career with BYU.
