LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies unveiled throwback uniforms that they will wear during home games this upcoming season. The initial design and idea came from Aggies star guard Sam Merrill.
The Mountain West Conference Player of the Year pitched the initial design to Utah State for their home-white uniforms this year and they came up with what Merrill posted on his Twitter account.
Utah State will begin their season at home on November 5 against Montana State in the Spectrum.

The uniforms are similar to the ones that were worn in the 80’s. Like the photo below.
KSL Sports has confirmed with Utah State Athletics that the throwback uniforms will be worn in every home game this season except for one. On February 8, when the Aggies host Boise State, they will be wearing a second true throwback uniform, which the design is still being finalized. It will be similar to the days when Wayne Estes played for Utah State from 1963-65.
Last season, Utah State lost just one home game, going 14-1, losing to Fresno State by one point, 78-77.
