MOSCOW, Idaho – On fourth down with three yards to go, it looked like Weber State was going to kick a field goal but Doug Lloyd, who is the punter and holder on field goal attempts faked the try and ran the ball 30-yards into the end zone.
The run gave the Wildcats a 34-21 lead late in the third quarter on the road against the Idaho Vandals.
Right after running in the touchdown, Lloyd ran over to his holding position to help on the extra point.

On a previous drive early in the third quarter, Lloyd was set to attempt a punt but faked it and ran for the first down.

Lloyd is a senior from Mount Gambier, Australia and has earned All-Big Sky honors throughout his career.
It is gutsy play calling by head coach Jay Hill and his staff as the Wildcats could have risked field position if Lloyd didn’t reach the first down marker or the end zone on the two fake plays.
