BATON ROUGE, La. – The Utah State Aggies were basically gifted points by No. 5 LSU as cornerback Cameron Haney picked off Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow.
Haney returned the interception 19 yards to the LSU 7-yard line. It’s his first interception this season. He had a sack that caused a fumble last week in their win over Colorado State.
The interception against LSU happened when Burrow scrambled out of the pocket and threw a high pass to his wide receiver, who tipped the ball and landed in Haney’s hands.
Utah State couldn’t get anything going on offense to capitalize with a touchdown but they settled for a 30-yard field goal by Dominik Eberle.

LSU had a hot start to the game, scoring in less than five minutes as they were able to get down the field fairly easy and Burrow found Derrick Dillon for a seven-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.
Utah State hasn’t won a road game over a power five opponent in 48 years.
