The Royals are three points behind the Seattle Reign in the standings. Even with a win in their final game, Utah cannot qualify for the playoffs as the Reign own the potential tiebreaker with the Royals.
Utah has lost its last four matches.
The Royals have a record of 9-4-10 on the season.
This is the franchise’s second season of existence. They missed the NWSL postseason in their inaugural season as well.
The team’s final game of the 2019 season is Saturday, October 12 at 7 p.m. (MDT) against the Houston Dash.
