SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Corner Canyon scored 14 points in the final minute to come back and beat Lone Peak 21-17.
Chargers’ quarterback Cole Hagen threw a touchdown pass to his brother Cody with two seconds left to put Corner Canyon on top of the Knights.
Lone Peak scored a TD with 2:17 left in the game to go up 17-7 but Chargers quickly marched down the field and scored with 54 seconds left in the game on a pass from Hagen to Talmage Handley. The Chargers defense went to work with three timeouts left and stopped the Knights from getting a first down on their next possession.
Once Corner Canyon got the ball back Hagen moved the team downfield before throwing a deep pass down the sideline to get the Chargers into the red zone, setting up the winning-score to his brother.
