RSL’s Rimando Honored By Sandy City With ‘Rimando Way’ Street Name

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando was honored by the city of Sandy by renaming Stadium Way to Rimando Way.
Rimando’s name will now be featured on the road that loops around Rio Tinto Stadium from State Street to 9400 South.
Sandy honored the RSL goalie with the street name, a commemorative sign, and a proclamation that September 27 is Nick Rimando Day.

Rimando was presented with the honor by Sandy mayor Kurt Bradburn and Real Salt Lake owner Dell Loy Hansen.
The RSL goalie is retiring at the conclusion of the 2019 season.

Rimando has played 13 seasons for the Utah club. He has two regular-season games remaining this season including a home finale on Sunday, September 29 at 5:30 p.m. against the Houston Dynamo.
