PROVO, Utah – Former BYU offensive coordinator Ty Detmer and Cougar head coach Kalani Sitake shook hands and hugged each other prior to the Washington vs. BYU game.
Detmer was Sitake’s OC from 2016-17. The former BYU QB was relieved from his coordinator position following the Cougars’ 4-9 season in 2017.
Saturday’s appearance at LES will be Detmer’s first since he was BYU’s offensive coordinator in 2017. His last game in Provo as the Cougars OC was the historic loss to UMass.
