Cougar Fans Storm The Field Early, Almost Penalize BYU, Rush The Field Again

PROVO, Utah – BYU fans stormed the field after Dayan Ghanwoloku’s interception of USC quarterback, Kedon Slovis in overtime. The play hadn’t been confirmed when the fans ran onto the field.
The Cougars could’ve have received a penalty for the fans and provided the Trojans a first down.
Fans were asked to clear the field while the play was under review. After the call was confirmed, the fans stormed onto the field again.

BYU received the ball first in overtime. After not converting a first down, Jake Oldroyd gave the Cougars a three-point edge with a 43-yard FG.
USC received the next possession. After two plays, the Trojans were looking to convert a 3rd & 6. Slovis threw a pass that was intercepted by Ghanwoloku at the BYU 21 and the game was over.

BYU moved to 2-1 on the season with the win.
The 24th ranked Trojans fell to 2-1 and experienced their first loss of 2019.
BYU’s next game is against the 23rd ranked Washington Huskies. The Cougars host UW on Saturday, September 21 at 1:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will be on KSL NewsRadio 1160 AM and 102.7 FM.
