Herriman Completes Upset With Win Over American Fork

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Herriman pulled off a big upset as they knocked off the American Fork Cavemen 34-21.
The game was tied at 14 at the half, before Herriman scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to get the upset win over American Fork. Jaxson James threw two touchdowns and ran in another, while Ngana Leakehe and Cole Williams each ran in a touchdown for Herriman. American Fork had two passing touchdowns from Hayden Betts and one from Maddux Madsen.

Region 1
Clearfield 7 at Fremont 17
Mitch Stratford ran in a touchdown, while Logan Savage connected with Justin Sagapolu for a score for Fremont. Bransen Simper found Grayson Banks for Clearfield’s only touchdown.
Davis 21 at Layton 14
Both teams scored a touchdown in the opening quarter and in the fourth quarter, the only difference was a score by Davis in the third quarter. For Davis, Carston Christensen had two touchdowns on the ground, with Chance Trujillo had another TD run. Tyler Reid threw two touchdown passes, both to Aidan Fullmer for Layton.

Syracuse 41 at Roy 38 2OT
It took two overtimes but Bridger Hamblin ran in a seven-yard touchdown to seal the win for Syracuse. Hamblin finished with two rushing and four passing touchdowns. Ty Burke caught three of the four touchdowns, while Sam Adams had the other touchdown grab for Syracuse. In the loss for Roy, Izzy Gordon had two rushing touchdowns, with Britton Watts, Cade Harris and Dillan Thoms each ran in one touchdown.
Weber 38 at Northridge 14
Weber scored 38 unanswered before Northridge scored their 14 points in the fourth quarter. Kohl Hogan threw three touchdowns, one to each Braeden Hart, Cannon Devries and Ryan Hansen. Dorian Ishmael and Maximus Fonoti-Maikui each ran in the two Northridge touchdowns.
Region 2
Hunter 35 at Granger 6
Granger scored first and that would be the last time. Hunter found the end zone five times on two rushing and one passing touchdown from DaiSean Cash, hitting Dallas Brown on the one passing touchdown. Jordan Tupea found the end zone twice for the Wolverines.
Taylorsville 20 at Cyprus 27
The Pirates had a 13 point second quarter that created separation in their win over Taylorsville. Parker Meldrum threw two and rushed for one touchdown, while Jhdhan Lester found the end zone on the ground once for Cyprus. DaVousie Zissi and Ryan Herzog each hauled in a touchdown through the air. Juni Wolfgramm had one rushing and one passing touchdown for Taylorsville. Also, Jackson Rees found the end zone on the ground.
West Jordan 30 at West 27
West Jordan’s Isaiah Lapale ran in a 15-yard touchdown with 3:29 left to get the win for West Jordan. He had a three touchdowns on the ground. Abraham Williams rushed for two touchdowns, while Johnny Alo and Mohammed Traore each scored once on the ground.

Juan Diego 31 at Copper Hills 0
Jayden Madry and Dominic Lewis each scored two rushing touchdowns for Juan Diego as they get the shutout win over Copper Hills.
Madison, Idaho at Pleasant Grove (6A)
Four different players ran in touchdowns for Pleasant Grove, while Porter Connors returned a 64-yard punt for a touchdown. Caleb Campbell, Dane Doman, Evan Robinson and Rex Connors each scored rushing touchdowns.
Riverton 32 at Kearns 26
Kearns had a two point lead late in the game when Mario Zamora returned an interception 40-yards for a touchdown. Moments later Isaac Rengers returned a kickoff for a touchdown and converted on the two point conversion. Seth Davis rushed for one touchdown, while Jaxon Howard threw one touchdown pass for Riverton. Kearns had a rushing and passing touchdown from Dakota Lynde and Ami Leha had a score on the ground.
Westlake 14 at Bingham 47
Troy Mehn had two passing touchdowns, one to both Isaiah Glasker and Preston Larson, who also had three rushing touchdowns for the Miners. Breven Balser had one passing touchdown, while James Ballard had a score on the ground.
