Joe Ingles Scores 23 Points In Win Over Gobert, France

SHANGHAI, China – Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles had a great performance for Australia in their 100-98 win over France in the second round of the FIBA World Cup of basketball.
Ingles recorded 23 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, while shooting 8-of-15 from the field and 3-for-7 from downtown in 33 minutes.
That was the second most points for the Boomers with San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills scoring 30 points in the win.
Ingles and Australia knocked off his NBA teammate Rudy Gobert and France. The Australian scored a layup over his Utah Jazz teammate and let him know about it after.

Gobert had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks. He shot 3-of-4 from the field in 31 minutes on the court.
The French national team was led by Evan Fournier of the Orlando Magic with 31 points.
Australia is moving on to the quarterfinals of the tournament and will face the Czech Republic on Wednesday at 7 a.m. The winner will face the winner of Spain and Poland in the Semifinals on Friday.
France will advance to the quarterfinals to face Team USA on Wednesday. The winner of that game will advance to the Semifinals on Friday against the winner of the Argentina and Serbia game. The loser will play on Thursday against the loser of Serbia and Argentina.
