Vols Score First Against BYU On Tipped Pass

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – The Tennessee Volunteers scored first against the BYU Cougars on a tipped pass to take a 7-0 lead in Saturday’s game.
Vols quarterback Jarrett Guarantano threw the pass on fourth down with three yards to go, when the ball bounced off BYU linebacker, Kavika Fonua’s hands and into the hands of Volunteers receiver, Jauan Jennings for the score.
The Vols took the 7-0 lead over the Cougars with 4:53 left in the first quarter of play.

The Volunteers drive last more than 7 minutes after BYU punted on their first drive of the game.
The Cougars are playing the Vols at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Tipped ball by Kavika Fonua lands in the hands of a Tennessee wide receiver and results in a Vol touchdown. Tough drive for the Cougar defense that resulted in them burning two timeouts.
