LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Thunderbirds were unable to pull the upset against FBS UNLV as the Rebels cruised to an easy victory on Saturday night.
Southern Utah, an FCS school, traveled to Las Vegas to take on their higher division Rebels and were unable to combat Vegas’ offense, falling 56-23.
The T-birds were unable to match the Rebels scoring attack scoring three touchdowns compared to UNLV’s eight touchdowns, including a Vegas record seven rushing TDs.
UNLV just tied the school record for rushing touchdowns in a game with seven. That matches the seven run in vs. Prairie View A&M in 1974. #SBSFarewell #BEaREBEL
