BYU Tight End Moroni Laulu-Pututau Sidelined For Rivalry Game
PROVO, Utah – BYU Cougars tight end Moroni Laulu-Pututau will not play against the Utah Utes Thursday evening.
Laulu-Pututau, a senior for the Cougars, was seen in street clothes on the sideline following pregame warm-ups at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
While the rest of the team went through their pregame routines prior to kickoff, Laulu-Pututau did not participate.

The tight end was a late participant in BYU fall camp after being unable to participate during the first few weeks of August.
Laulu-Pututau only played in five games during the 2018 season due to injury. He has played in 30 games during his BYU career.
The senior has career stats of 47 receptions for 509 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Moroni Laulu-Pututau is in street clothes on the BYU sideline.

The Cougars will have to rely on Matt Bushman, Joe Tukuafu and the rest of their tight end group to fill in for Laulu-Pututau’s absence.
