Salt Lake City, Utah – Former Ute Eric Weddle responded after former Cougar Kyle Van Noy tweeted about the upcoming BYU vs. Utah game.
On Sunday Van Noy tweeted that he didn’t get to church but he would be praying for a BYU win this Thursday at Lavell Edwards Stadium.
Weddle, safety for the LA Rams, responded letting Van Noy and BYU Football know “praying won’t help.”
Praying wont help my brotha. Sorry guys….

Van Noy’s reference to “4-0” in the original Tweet was his expecting responses from University of Utah fans. During Van Noy’s time with the Cougars, he like many other great former BYU players were winless against the Utes.
In the Tweet, Van Noy advised the Cougars to work and let him do the “talkin”.
Van Noy will also be in action this Thursday night as his Patriots compete in their final preseason game against the New York Giants. Lucky for Van Noy, the kickoff of the Pats game is at 5:30 p.m. (MDT) and should get done in time for the former BYU star to see his alma mater in action when they kick off in Provo at 8:15 p.m. (MDT).
As for Weddle, he may be cutting it close to catch the beginning of the game. The Rams face the Texans in their last preseason game at 6:00 p.m. (MDT).
Leading up to this Thursday’s game the Utes have won eight straight against the Cougars. Utah leads the series with a 61-34-4 record.
