BYU Store Remodel Features 3 Eras Of Marriott Center Court

PROVO, Utah – Renovations are taking place at Brigham Young University’s Wilkinson Center where the Cougareat and BYU Store resides.
Updates to these two locations on campus were announced back in May and renovations are wrapping up.
One of the cool features at the BYU Store renovation is the addition of old BYU basketball courts to the ceiling.
Check o❌t one of o❌r newest renovations🤩. The ceiling above where the old Candy Co❌nter ❌se to be is now f❌rnished with the ACT❌AL floor from 3 eras of BY❌ Basketball🏀. The ❌niq❌e co❌rt designs on each ceiling board is exactly how each co❌rt ❌se to look as well! pic.twitter.com/wss4EgSvKU

Basketball courts from the WAC, Mountain West, and West Coast Conference eras are represented on the roof.
The only thing that can be debated is the WAC era court. BYU had a few different designs during their years in the Western Athletic Conference. The one that is most synonymous with BYU hoops in the WAC era is the one below (also notice that classy KSL-5 TV logo at the top of the scoreboard).
Very cool. But the court that defines the WAC era is this one… https://t.co/nPjCigEIik pic.twitter.com/2pVMMAGlHj

The West Coast Conference era court is the newest design that will take place later this season. The WCC released a new logo and the league branding will appear in the paint rather than inside the arc where it was located the previous eight years in the league.
The changes to BYU’s bookstore and Cougareat are expected to be completed by the end of the month.
