Brighton Pitches Shutout Win Over Layton

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Brighton Bengals had a great overall performance on both sides of the ball in their 24-0 win over Layton.
Owen Powers scored the first touchdown before Gabe Curtis found the end zone twice for the Bengals.

Bear River 34 at Box Elder 54
Box Elder quarterback Parker Buchanan accounted for four touchdowns, two passing and two rushing in their win over Bear River. Ren Fonnesbeck had two touchdowns for the Bears in the loss.
Crimson Cliffs 0 at Lehi 55
The Pioneers scored 31 points in the first quarter, led by three touchdown passes by Creyton Cooper to three different players. Cooper finished with four touchdown passes in the shutout win.

Desert Hills 28 at Alta 41
Quarterback Cinco Lucero had three touchdown passes in the opening quarter and finished with four through the air and one on the ground for the Hawks. D’Andre Randolph had two receiving touchdowns in Alta’s win. Logan Wilstead threw two touchdowns in the loss.
Fremont 20 at Salem Hills 34
Salem Hills quarterback Jarret Elmer finished with three touchdowns, while Mitch Stratford had two passing touchdowns for Fremont in the loss.
Granger 0 at Olympus 45
Frankie Goodson passed for four touchdowns, Scotty Edwards recorded one rushing touchdown and two receiving scores as the Titans post their second straight shutout.
Green Canyon 27 at Bonneville 0
Jacob Lundin had two rushing touchdowns, while Dustin Gasaway found the end zone once as Green Canyon shut out Bonneville.
Hurricane 12 at Murray 35
Hurricane scored all 12 points in the fourth quarter after Murray scored all 35 of their points. Jarrett Henriksen threw four touchdown passes, two to Owen Madsen.
JSerra Catholic (Calif.) 24 at East 14
Sione Angilau scored the two touchdowns for East in their loss to JSerra Catholic from California.
Kearns 46 at Mountain Ridge 6
Mountain Ridge scored their first ever touchdown to begin the game, but that was it. Kearns had three touchdowns from Dakota Lynde in the win for the Cougars.

Mountain View 27 at Timpanogos 21
Mountain View had two passing touchdowns from Duce Anderson to two different players in the tight win over Timpanogos.

Payson 22 at Manti 41
Payson held a three point lead after the first quarter before Manti rattled off 28 straight points in the second quarter. Five different players from Manti found the end zone with Ryker Hewko scoring twice, one passing and one rushing touchdown.
Pleasant Grove 45 at Maple Mountain 21
The Vikings had four touchdowns through the air from Caleb Campbell with three going to Kael Mikkelsen. Tyler Nelson threw two touchdown passes for Maple Mountain in the loss.
Springville 48 at Skyline 14
Red Devils quarterback Payton Murphy ran for two touchdowns and threw for two, both to Austin Mortensen. Tyler Kelly found the end zone twice for Springville. Zac Kaufman ran in a touchdown, while Braxton Bolingbroke connected with Hudson Manwaring for Skyline.
Weber 24 at Bountiful 0
Logan Payne scored two touchdowns, while quarterback Kohl Hogan connected with Braeden Hart on the other Weber touchdown as they pitched a shutout over Bountiful on the road.
Westlake 0 at Provo 22
Taylor Heiner had a 56-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 4-yard touchdown catch, scoring the only two touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Alex Myles-Mills nailed three field goals in the shutout win over Westlake.
